Japanese Chess or Shogi is considered more complicated than usual chess game. But for the first time, a computer beat a professional player in the chess game.
As reported by Bignews Network and quoted on Thursday (10/14/2010), best female players Shogi, Ichiyo Shimizu take part in these games are staged at the University of Tokyo. He played against the computer called Akara 2010.
Akara Shimizu was able to defeat in six hours and after 86 movements. Since the beginning of the game, Akara considered play aggressive enough to finally beat the man for the first time in the game.
Japan Shogi Association (JSA) immediately felt worried about the ability of a computer that could beat humans. Before Shimizu, there are others who managed to beat the computer but with a simpler system. He is Akira Watanabe, who beat the computer three years ago.
"He (Akara-red) move is not extreme, and for part-time game I feel like I'm playing against humans," says Shimizu. "I hope that humans and computers can become stronger in the future through a friendly competition," he concluded.
